Dear SYC Friends,

As we say goodbye to a beautiful summer and enter into Fall, there are many days and weekends of boating left in the season. We hope that you can get out and enjoy the water.

Since my last newsletter, we were all treated to a delicious salmon barbecued dinner, prepared by all of the past Commodore’s.  Congratulations to all of you and thank you on behalf of the entire club.

The Oyster run was held on September 20-22. I believe that we had 19 boats attend. The weather was fantastic, and we had a great potluck dinner on Saturday night.

October 19 is the Halloween party. Plan on dressing in your craziest outfit as there will be judging for the best costume. We can all look forward to a delicious spaghetti dinner along with all the fun and frivolity.  See the flyer for more details.

Mitch Ruth sent an email to everyone regarding the vacancies on the board which we are looking to fill. Just a friendly reminder that if we all put an oar in the water, it’s much easier to move the boat. I hope you consider volunteering.

I appreciate the input from our membership, so, if you have something to share, please reach out to me and share your thoughts or ideas.

Sincerely Yours,

Happy Fall!

Ronda and I had a wonderful time at Oyster Run. Our club sure knows how to cook.

We have our costumes ready for the Halloween party and the best costume competition. Win or lose, the event will be awesome. Thanks Anna and Crew for volunteering.

A quick update, the Reindeer Romp has been moved to coincide with La Conner’s downtown ladies night. While men aren't invited to the shopping day, the fellowship at the clubhouse is always a good time.

Cheers,
