Commodore Aaron Jensen

Captain Jensen is an accomplished mariner and a passionate advocate for the maritime community on Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands.
As Commodore, Captain Jensen is a steadfast leader, steering the Swinomish Yacht Club to new horizons. Under his guidance, the club fosters a tight-knit community of boaters who share his reverence for family and the sea.

Vice Commodore Jame Witzel

As Vice-Commodore, Commander Witzel is a critical asset to the Swinomish Yacht Club’s leadership team. She collaborates closely with the Commodore to execute the club’s strategic vision, ensuring that members enjoy enriching experiences on the water and foster a sense of camaraderie and belonging within the club.

A dedicated steward of the club’s traditions and values, Commander Witzel embraces the rich maritime heritage of the region. Her vision for the club revolves around inclusivity, environmental stewardship, and the celebration of our abundant natural resources.

Rear Commodore Jill Ruth

First Mate Ruth is a dedicated advocate for the boating community. In her roles as Rear-Commodore of the esteemed Swinomish Yacht Club, she plays a crucial part in supporting the club’s mission and activities including overseeing the club’s involvement in the recreational Boating Association of Washington (RWBA).

Jill collaborates closely with the Commodore and the Vice Commodore to implement the club’s strategic vision, ensuring members have enriching experiences both on and off the water and fostering a strong sense of community within the club.
